Location to shoot The Quest were the ruins of the old castle Pietersheim in Lanaken, Belgium.
Jonas (Jon) is studying his lines.
After which he is in the capable hands of our make-up artist Anne. The script has been passed
on to Jessie by then, who rather watches Anne do her job.
Roy needs his make-up more than anything... Seriously.
Thank heavens he doesn't pull weird faces when Anne gets her hands on him. He would lose an eye if he did.

While Anne deals with Jessie, the director Janneke tries to wake up in the background.
The rest of the crew is also looking rather miserable this early in the morning.

Jessie is trying to get in character by focusing on her Snape action figure.
She's obsessed.
Jon tries to get in character by making Roy all uncomfortable with his gay manners.
Filming also means lots of standing still and asking questions. Anne is ready on the sideline to throw
Roy's wizard outfit at him in the upcoming scene.
Jenne, our über-gnome, doesn't let the opportunity pass by and makes sure she's on
camera with the gnome house.
Nems has two parts in The Quest, she's both a gnome and a silly witch.
Here you see her posing in her red gnome-jacket.
Later that day the filming moves from the forest to the meadow and Roy crawls under his pink blanket while
the other actors and Anne and Janneke look on.
There were looooads of frogs in that meadow. They don't have a part in the movie, however.
Two of the three silly witches, Daan and Suzy, pose in front of the restaurant
of Pietersheim. They're quite silly, as proven by Daan, who just wears her sport vest
on top of her witch dress. (Though we have to admit it was quite chilly that day...)
The real stars of the movie are obviously the geeze that lived in the neighbourhood.
As real actors are supposed to, at the end of the day Roy and Jon crawl into bed with the bosses, Janneke and Anne.
No doubt to get a part in the next movie as well. All's well that ends well.
